Business ethics

Hi guys how are you? This is my first blog post for the New Fiscal Year. I thought I would write about Business Ethics. So here goes nothing.

In my opinion, how a person conducts themselves in business also will show how they conduct themselves in their personal lives. Taking shortcuts, not keeping company cleaned, company is not well stocked, not having appropriate equipment, trying to do everything, not hiring the correct people, being unaware of daily operations of business, the image of company employees, trying to get services for free, not having a budget for marketing and promotions are just a few examples of red flags. The signs will show how long a company will last. Most times these are the types of people who try to tell you what to do. But, at first, glance, as you view their business ethics you will find that these individuals really are not a help to others in their growth and development and are people who try to control the incorrect aspects of a business. Their influence is limited to “trying” to be a boss instead of an individual knowing the aspects of their business by placing the correct people in the correct place. They also will have all the answer but can’t listen themselves.

Business ethics (also known as corporate ethics) is a form of applied ethics or professional ethics that examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that arise in a business environment. It applies to all aspects of business conduct and is relevant to the conduct of individuals and entire organizations. For further information please visit business ethics.

Owning my own business as a photographer. Recently I was told in secret “that an individual (a grown man and business owner) attempted to bribe an take a 16 or 17-year-old out of the country and that this man also uses his “money” to take advantage of financially troubled women! He takes advantage and manipulates younger ladies. He preys on their vulnerabilities. He tries to befriend them to get sexual favors from them by offering them “help!” The hurtful thing about this is that the young ladies are afraid to speak up! People, do not let these bullies make you afraid to speak up! They are cunning, yes! But do not allow the next person to be hurt because these individuals are left walking around! What if this happens to your sister or mother? Even your brother?

I was totally taken back by these accusations. The fear and pain the young lady in telling me this was discerning to hear. She is so afraid that no one would believe her because of her past transgressions that she and others remain quiet. How the level of trust is diminished from employees to the consumer is unbelievable! So I took to my blog for my first post to be about business ethics and an example of how business ethics to many is a lost art.
